Overview

The Cascade Euphoria Tour originates in Eugene, Oregon. The tour is five days of magnificent road cycling amongst the Cascade Mountains. Tour participants should be comfortable road cycling for approximately 5-8 hours per day for four consecutive days. Daily rides range from 34-68 miles, with the most challenging day including over 5,200’ cumulative elevation gain. See some of our favorite moments from this tour in our photo gallery!

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: Eugene to Blue Pool / McCredie Hot Springs

Meet your guides in the morning for a short group orientation and safety discussion. The journey begins in Eugene and ascends into the Cascade Mountains. Day 1 finishes at Blue Pool Campground. Adjacent to the campground is McCredie Hot Springs, a beautiful undeveloped natural hot spring adjacent to Salt Creek.

Summary: 58 miles (94 km)  |  3,158 ft (963 m) elevation gain.

DAY 2: Blue Pool to Lava Lakes

We will take an intentional pause to enjoy the visually stunning Salt Creek Falls in the morning. This is followed by view of Diamond Peak before descending onto the scenic Cascades Lakes highway. The day concludes at the headwaters of the Deschutes River at Little Lava Lakes Campground.

Summary: 66 miles (105 km)  |  5,215 ft (1,590 m) elevation gain.

DAY 3: Lava Lakes to Smith Rock State Park / Skull Hollow Campground

We continue along Cascade Lakes highway with fabulous vistas of the South Sister, Mount Bachelor, Broken Top and Devils Lake. We finish at iconic Smith Rock State Park where there is an opportunity for photos and a hike. We will load the bikes and drive to the campground from Smith Rock.

Summary: 68 miles (110 km)  |  2,831 ft (863 m) elevation gain.

DAY 4: Skull Hollow Campground to Cold Springs

We begin in the Central Oregon High Desert and follow a portion of the Sisters to Smith Rock Scenic Bikeway. We will stop for a delicious lunch at Sisters Coffee Company.  Time is ample to walk around Sisters and enjoy this little mountain town.  Follwoing is a short and gentle ride out to Cold Springs Campground.

Summary 44.4 miles (71 km)  |  1,686 ft (514 m) elevation gain.

Day 5: Belknap Hot Springs to Eugene

The final day is riding from Cold Springs Campground up the old McKenzie Hwy to Dee Wright Observatory for views of many of the mountains in the Cascade Range.  On the other side of the Pass Summit, you will experience a quite nice decent followed with a soak at Belknap Hot Springs before returning to Eugene. 

Summary 33.9 miles (54 km)  |  2,206 ft (672 m) elevation gain.
