  • Do I need cycling gloves / cold weather gloves?
Totally up to you, the tours are designed and operated during optimum climate conditions for the location. Many people enjoy wearing cycling gloves to reduce vibration and find them comforting. The only time cold weather gloves might be needed is early mornings early and or late season days. Before each tour starts, I will have checked the upcoming weather and will provide guidance to the group on what to expect approximately 3 days before the tour start date.
  • What personal care items should I bring along?
Everyone is different, that said, common things I always have along: Sunblock, chapstick, and personal care wipes.
  • Do I need rain gear?
Always a maybe; however, in general in the months that the tours are operating, rain probability is low. A Climate Profile for each tour will be noted on Tour page which will give you some insight into temperature range, rain probability, etc. We work to run each tour in the optimum climate scenarios. Nature sometimes has other plans...
  • What Gear Should I Bring on a Tour?
This gear list has been created to help you pick the best equipment for your tour. The weather and other conditions at the time of your tour will dictate what clothing and equipment you prefer. It may be a necessary for you to bring certain items included on the list, even if it is uncertain whether they will be utilized during your tour. A few days before your tour starts, I will send each participant the upcoming week’s forecast to help choose the best gear for your tour and the predicted conditions. That said, having rain gear along even if is never used or a warmer pair of gloves, jacket, cycling pants, etc. should we encounter a cool morning start is never a bad idea to have along. At a minimum you need to have at least one replacement tube for your tire size, tire tools, hand pump. We, of course, will have many repair items in the sag wagon; however, we may not have your tube size.
