Overview
Experience three amazing days all from the beautiful mountain town of Sisters, Oregon. This tour includes three lovely days of riding with inspirational vistas. All routes originate in Sisters from the Left Coast Lodge. The tour includes 3 days of supported rides and two nights lodging. All rides are fully supported with a SAG (support and gear vehicle) with top quality fuel for your adventure in Central Oregon. Included with this tour is one, one-hour professional massage by a licensed LMT, on either night one or night two. Lunch is included each day. Dinners you are on your own to enjoy the many culinary delights Sisters Oregon has to offer. Tour participants should be comfortable road cycling for approximately 4 hours per day for three consecutive days. Daily rides range from 34-42 miles, with the most challenging day including over 2,941+’ cumulative elevation gain. See some of our favorite moments from this tour in our photo gallery!
Tour Itinerary
DAY 1: Left Coast Lodge to Tumalo Falls
Meet your guides in the morning for a short group orientation and safety chat. Day 1 is a ride to Tumalo Falls, a spectacular waterfall. Each tour participant will receive a professional one-hour massage from a licensed LMT to be enjoyed either on night 1 or night 2.
Summary: 42 miles (68 km) | 2,941 ft (896 m) elevation gain.
DAY 2: Left Coast Lodge to Dee Wright & Belknap
Day 2 surprises you with a journey through some beautiful Lodge Pole Pines that eventually give way to a lava field at Dee Wright Observatory. Here you get an up-close view of the North Sister Mountain and depending on clarity many more views of the mountains of the Cascade Range can be seen from Dee Wright Observatory. We will continue to ride the Old McKenzie Hwy, also known as the 242 to reach Belknap hot springs for refreshing soak before returning to Sisters.
Summary: 36 miles (59 km) | 2,387 ft (728 m) elevation gain.
DAY 3: Left Coast Lodge to Smith Rock State Park
Day 3 is a ride on a portion of one of Oregon’s fantastic Scenic Bikeways as we traverse mostly East with the final Destination of Smith Rocks. An iconic rock feature that is the birthplace of Sport Climbing in the United States. There will be ample time allotted for a nice hike to really experience the beauty and geology of Smith Rock.
Summary: 34 miles (55 km) | 965 ft ( 294 m) elevation gain.
